The leadership of the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa met to discuss the various labor disputes in the country, the demands for wage hike, and the state of government-owned enterprises

The management has agreed to a wage hike, an education bursary for employees and to set up a task force to review contracts given to private companies. It will also defer retrenchments it had earlier announced

We will look at these protests and movements which represent the struggle of people against oppression and for building a better world.
